Ranjula Senaratna Perera – General Manager

Ranjula started her journey with SJDSF as a Consultant in 2019 and joined the Foundation in a managerial role in 2020. Prior to SJDSF, Ranjula worked on development and policy research as a Senior Researcher at LIRNEasia. She also worked in Grant Acquisition at World Vision Lanka.
Ranjula currently oversees local fundraising initiatives, donor management, and finance matters at the RCCI.
Ranjula has a BSc in Industrial Economics from the University of Warwick, U.K., and an MBA from the University of Colombo.

Nayanalie Dassanayake – Speech and Language Therapist

Nayanalie is a Speech and Language Pathologist with over 20 years of clinical experience working in health and educational settings  in Sri Lanka, U.K. and Ireland. Her specialities include working with neuro developmental disorders, developing and providing training for caregivers and educators, as well as  advocating for accessible information. Nayanalie joined SJDSF in 2021 and has been involved in the organisations strategic plan to facilitate meaningful and active participation of persons with intellectual disabilities in society.

Nazly Hameed – Manager, Special Education Programmes

Nazly joined SJDSF in 2019 as volunteer teacher after a decade working as a teacher in diverse settings including schools and care homes. Nazly is extremely enthusiastic about teaching and is an excellent communicator and listener with the ability to comprehend a student’s needs and adapt accordingly. Nazly enjoys developing lesson plans, organizing work flows, and interacting with students. Her passion is education, and providing a safe, friendly, and productive learning environment for her students is a top priority. Nazly has a background in Early childhood and Special Needs Education.

Rasanjalee Wickremasinghe – Lead Teacher

Rasanjalee joined the SJDSF in 2012 as a school leaver with a passion for working with those with special needs. She is currently the Lead Teacher of SJDSF, providing support and guidance to teachers with her over 10 years of experience teaching students with a wide range of special needs. She has great enthusiasm and values taking a fun approach to teaching students. She is the centre supervisor of the Duke of Edinburgh programme and is also the Sign Language specialist at SJDSF. Rasanjalee has a background in Special Needs Education and Counselling Psychology.
